Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The author must provide an ORCID identifier of their open access academic profile.
  • The submitted manuscript is a file in Microsoft Word format (.docx).
  • The references must be processed by a bibliographic management software (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, among others). The citations and bibliographic references must follow the APA 6ta ed.
  • In case of acceptance of publication, the author will be required to export the RIS file of the bibliographic references.
  • The manuscript should be prepared for a double-blind peer review.
  • The manuscript has not been previously published, it original, and follows the established codes of conduct.
  • The manuscripts follow the established style guidelines .
  • The editorial policies for citations and references are followed: (1) It is suggested that the authors maintain a minimum of 10 references and a maximum of 50. (2) By international standards, up to 20% of "self-citations" will be admitted (that is, citations to the author him or herself) in the body of the manuscript and no more than 3 in the references section. (3) Authors are suggested at least 50% of references to articles in scientific journals.
  • Please capitalize adequately. For instance, DO NOT USE FULL SMALL CAPS IN TITLES OR NAMES.

Author Guidelines

Types of manuscripts

Textos en Proceso (TEP) accepts the following types of manuscripts for publication:

- Original research articles

- Working papers

- Draft progress or partial results of investigations

- Presentations to congresses

- Technical reports

- Research sheets

Variety of language
Any accepted language variety is accepted as long as it is consistent throughout the manuscript. For example, peninsular or Latin American varieties of Spanish are accepted as long as one is chosen for the manuscript and such a choice is maintained throughout the manuscript.

Expected contents
For the original research articles, the following contents are expected in the structure of the manuscript:

- Summary. In Spanish and English, up to 200 words, it is briefly informed about the objectives, the theoretical and methodological frameworks, and the results obtained.

- Approach of the problem or research question, the objectives, the hypothesis and, if it were the case, the statistical analysis used.

- Theoretical framework

- Methodological framework and description of the data

- Analysis of the data (in cases of empirical research)

- Description of results and discussion

- References

- Biographical note of the author or authors in Spanish and English, up to 200 words.

In addition, authors are recommended to include the following contents:

- Collaboration. It is recommended to include a section at the end of the article where any type of collaboration done by people other than the author who do not justify their appearance as author are briefly thanked. The type of collaboration provided should be stated.

- Conflict of interests. This section must contain information on the relationships that could pose a conflict of interest. If appropriate, explicit mention must be made of the source of funding for the investigation.

- Permissions The persons mentioned in the acknowledgments must have expressed their consent to be mentioned. The authors are responsible for obtaining written permission from said persons.

Submission of manuscripts
Manuscripts must be unpublished, preferably written in Spanish. Contributions in other languages ​​are also accepted, at the discretion of the editors. Manuscripts must be sent electronically through this platform. The submission of manuscripts presupposes, on the part of the authors, the knowledge and acceptance of these instructions as well as the editorial norms.

Electronic files
It is expected an electronic file of Microsoft Word (.docx). In case of acceptance of publication, the electronic file will be requested separately from the list of references in RIS format, generated from a manager of citations and bibliographic references.

Bibliographic references manager
In order to administer the intratextual appointments and the subsequent automatic generation of the reference list, with the subsequent generation of the RIS electronic file, the authors are requested to use any of the following bibliographic reference managers:

- Zotero (recommended, free and open source)

- Papers

- Mendeley

- EndNote

- RefWorks

The use of a bibliographic reference manager, in addition to reducing errors or omissions in the aforementioned, enbales a shorter publication times, lower production costs and enriched internationally indexation with the services located for that purpose.

ORCID
For sending the manuscript, the authors will be asked for the persistent ORCID digital identifier.

All information collected will be handled with care in accordance with our standards for integrity and objectivity and respect for your privacy. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT

Personal Information

While interacting with the ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME Sites, we may request personal information from you, which may include items such as your name, mailing address, email address, company name, institutional affiliation, telephone number, credit card or other payment information, and ORCID iD. Your provision of such information is strictly voluntary. You can generally visit the ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME Sites without disclosing such information. If you register on a ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME website, we will gather and store your user name and password.

If you are an author who is submitting or has submitted a manuscript or other research outputs to ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME for our consideration or for posting on our sites or as a preprint, we will require you to provide the above types of information so that we may consider, process, and possibly publish your paper, in conformance with accepted publishing standards. Where your paper is published or posted as a preprint, at least your name, affiliation, and ORCID iD will appear as part of the paper. Likewise, when you register on a ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME site for updates or to receive other types of notifications from us, we will ask for your email address at a minimum to enable us to send you the information you have requested.

Technical Information

Additionally, by means of your interactions with the ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME Sites, we may collect, have access to, store and use your computer’s IP address, the URL/domain name of any referring website, the time and date of your visit to the ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME Sites, and certain information known as “clickstream data” to enable us to understand how people interact with the ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME Sites, to analyze data for trends and statistics, to help diagnose and solve issues with the ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME Sites and our technologies, products, and services, and to optimize the performance of the ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME Sites. Use by ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME

ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME uses your personal information as described above, and to customize your experience on the ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME Sites and to facilitate our interactions with you. If you are an author, we will use your personal information for the purpose of processing, reviewing, communicating about, facilitating editorial review and peer review, for publishing, and to facilitate payment of article processing chargers. If you are an editor or reviewer, we may use your personal information to contact you about your potential or actual role as an editor or reviewer, to request and facilitate your review and handling of manuscripts, and to update you on news and developments at ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME as it may affect your work with us. If you simply come to ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME websites to read content, we will use information such as your URL and cookies to provide a good experience, as described above.

Except as where necessary to provide services to you, ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME editors do not typically take note of your personal information; the information is mainly stored on or by our computers, computer networks, servers, tools, and systems, as described above.

Potential Disclosure to Third Parties

If you submit a manuscript to us for possible publishing, we will send the title and abstract of your paper, and your name, to one or more potential editors and reviewers, to gauge their interest in reviewing your paper. If they agree to handle your paper, we will send them your full manuscript and any revisions and relevant comments you have provided relating thereto.

We may disclose personal information as discussed above and as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this privacy policy to our editors and to third parties, including volunteer editors and reviewers. We may also share information regarding you and your manuscript or other research content as reasonably necessary with parties such as community journal staff, curators, and channel managers.

We share only the information necessary for third parties to provide the intended products and services. In some cases, the applications or user interfaces you encounter while on our sites are managed by third parties, who may require that you provide your personal information and who have assured us of their compliance with applicable laws.

No Sale or Leasing of Your Information

Except as described in this privacy policy, we will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent. We will not sell or lease your personal information to any third party. We may disclose aggregate demographic and statistical information with our business partners; this information is not specific to the identification of you as an individual.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION

We keep your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide services to you, and for as long as your account and/or registration with ASICE-EDICE PROGRAMME is active. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.
